FIELD: radiolocation, determination of coordinates of object having specific chemical element in its composition. SUBSTANCE: procedure determining coordinates of object involves irradiation of observation zone by pulse electromagnetic signal with characteristic providing for display of effect of parametric absorption of energy of electromagnetic waves by material object, reception of emitted signal passed through object and reflected from diffuser over ray " radiator-diffuser " or over ray " diffuser- detector ". One of energy characteristics of signal is measured and compared with characteristic measured when object is reliably out of observation zone. Decision on presence of object in observation zone is made by result of comparison with due account of design values for passage of signal through object over ray " radiator- diffuser " or over ray " diffuser-detector ". Angular coordinates of object are determined as radiation angles of signal in elevation and azimuthal planes for case of detection of objet over ray " radiator-diffuser " or as angles of reception of signal for case of detection over ray " diffuser-detector " and distance to object is determined as distance corresponding to values of received reflected signal. Natural ( tropospheric layer of atmosphere, for instance ) or artificial (radio holographic antenna ) reflector is employed in the capacity of diffuser.
