FIELD: the invention refers to an atmospheric monitor designed for controlling presence of radioactive materials in the air.
SUBSTANCE: the monitor of radio-activity of the environment has a filter through which air is passed and a detector of the emission radiated by particles captured by the filter. The signals from the detector of the emission are analyzed in a great number of energy channels, for example, with the help of a multi-channel analyzer. At that calculations of impulses at least in two energy windows (W1, W2, W3, W4) are used for definition of forms of low-energy rejected materials of the natural radioactive nuclides ThC' and RaC' for exclusion their influence. The form of the peak ThC' is used for forecasting and removal of the peak RhC, and then the form of the peak RaC is used for forecasting and removal of the peak RaA. As a result all background influences are excluded.
EFFECT: allows to obtain precision measurements of radio-activity of the air for a short period of time of calculation.
