FIELD: welding, namely plasma torches, cathodes and electrodes of them, possibly used in machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: plasma torch includes cathode and electrode with connection ends designed for coaxial telescopic connection one with other along central lengthwise axis of torch. Stops designed for engaging one to other are formed on connection ends of cathode and electrode. At least one stop may be moved, mainly in radial direction relative to central lengthwise axis of torch between its non-bent and bent states. At least one stop performs motion from non-bent state to bent state when cathode and electrode are introduced one to other. Said stop performs motion from bent state to non-bent state when cathode and electrode are additionally introduced one to other till point where stops of cathode and electrode are aligned, mainly along axis. In such position at least one stop engages with other stop for simplifying final connection of cathode and electrode and for preventing axial back motion of electrode from cathode outside it.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of connection of cathode and electrode in plasma torch.
