FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: slide bearing comprises support and bushing made of nonmetallic material, which provide the sliding pair and are mounted in the housing and on the shaft, respectively. The flexible members are interposed between the housing and support and between the shaft and bushing. The support and bushing are made of durable ceramics, e.g. silicon carbide. The flexible members are made of rubber and can be in a contact with the members of the bearing to provide the guaranteed radial space between the support and housing and between the bushing and shaft. When the shaft is set in rotation, the torque is transmitted to the ceramic bushing and ceramic race.
