FIELD: working processes in machine engineering process, namely forming large outer threads by cutting and plastic working.
SUBSTANCE: head is designed for simultaneous successive milling and knurling outer threads at axial feed. Head includes stem, body, cover and axles mounted in bearing assemblies. In order to enhance quality and efficiency of working, small-tooth disc type thread milling cutters are mounted in axles. Thread knurling rollers are also mounted in axles with possibility of free rotation; said rollers have starting and sizing portions. Gear wheels engaged with central gear wheel arranged in stem with possibility of forced rotation are also mounted in axles. Central gear wheel has second toothed rim for engaging with drive for forced rotation of milling cutters. Stem includes groove for placing said drive.
EFFECT: enhanced quality and efficiency of working.
