FIELD: electrolytic application of coats; micro-arc oxidation of metal possessing semiconductor properties for obtaining ceramic coats.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes dipping metal into electrolytic bath containing aqueous solution of alkaline metal hydroxide and alkaline metal salt oxygen-containing acid; metal forms electrode; then, voltage signal is applied on electrode; signal has triangular shape and positive and negative tilt at shape coefficient which may change in the course of process generating current at regulated intensity, pulse shape and relative ratio of positive intensity and negative intensity; process is characterized by independent change of shape coefficient, magnitude of potential, frequency and current or simultaneous change of triangular signal, magnitude of potential, frequency, current and UA/IC ratio.
EFFECT: reduced porosity of ceramic layer; possibility of obtaining dense and homogeneous layer over entire surface; reduced power requirements.
