FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: bearing unit comprises at least two bearings: main bearing and auxiliary bearing. The auxiliary bearing is mounted on the shaft from the side of axial pressure with a spaced relation to the housing and to the outer race of the bearing The flexible member mounted in front of the auxiliary bearing and bears on the outer race of the auxiliary bearing from the side of the axial pressure on the shaft directly or via the stop and on the pressing member from the side of the housing. The pressing member is connected with the housing so that the flexible member can be deformed. The flexible member is mounted for permitting the axial linear expansion of the members between the bearing face of the outer race of the main bearing and the surface of the pressing member of the flexible member. The pressing member could be connected with the housing, e.g. represent simultaneously a lid of the bearing unit.
