FIELD: wind-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: reduction unit that functions to transmit mechanical energy from windmill to load is mounted in two coaxial cylindrical supporting holes of reduction gear case and has cylindrical sleeve terminating on one end in flat bottom with axial hole and on other end with annular rectangular projection, as well as cylindrical flange provided with annular alignment boss and central hole. Flange is joined through its mating surface with end surface of annular projection of sleeve. Inner space of sleeve accommodates double-support shaft coaxially mounted in antifriction bearings; shaft carries gear fixed between supports. Sleeve affords modular design of unit which ensures high operating reliability and repairability of unit more liable to wear than other parts of windmill and more suitable for in-situ mounting and dismounting without impairing condition of other parts and assemblies and for factory repairs ensuring high workmanship. In addition, modular design and axial assembling system improve stiffness of entire power unit and, hence, its reliability.
