FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely processes for reversing hot rolling of sheet metal at tension, possibly in multi-stand mills with coilers in furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: method is designed for such cases when it is impossible to use loop holders for keeping desired tension because of design of mill or large bending rigidity of strip. Method is realized due to changing revolution number of driven stands according to fluctuation of inter-stand tension values. Novelty is steps of calculating power of rolling in each stand, extracting from received value power of rolling without tension and then obtaining rolling power caused by tension; using said value for determining tension efforts due to deciding equation system.
EFFECT: enhanced stability of rolling process due to increased accuracy for determining inter-stand tension.
