SUBSTANCE: method involves multipass crimping of a workpiece with application of tensions. Rolling in the first pass is performed with relative crimping of 4-23% and at specific front tension in this pass of not more than 20 MPa.
EFFECT: reduction of longitudinal variation in thickness of bands and strips.
