APPARATUS FOR POSITIONING STRIP COILS REMOVED FROM DRUM OF COILER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B21C47/10 B21B39/14 

FIELD: rolled stock production, mainly coilers of continuous rolling mills and aggregates for slitting and crosswise cutting strips.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes drum mounted on shaft joined through reduction gear with driving electric motor; carriage with coil stripper; lifting table mounted on carriage; hydraulic drive for vertically moving table. Hydraulic drive includes hydraulic cylinder mounted in frame of carriage and having rod joined with lifting table. Rod cavity and piston cavity of hydraulic cylinder are connected through three-way distributor in which all dust are closed at neutral position of slide gate by means of mains pipelines with pump-accumulation station. In main pipeline connecting pump-accumulation station with said hydraulic distributor there is reduction valve. On pipeline connecting hydraulic distributor with piston cavity of lifting table there is pressure relay. In draining main pipeline between hydraulic distributor and tank of pump-accumulation station there is three-way hydraulic distributor with open central position. Apparatus is also provided with positioning cylinder whose piston cavity is connected through pipeline with three-way hydraulic distributor having open central position. Two position pickups are mounted on positioning cylinder; rod cavity of positioning cylinder is connected through pipeline with use of closing cock with compressed air source. Invention provides elimination of surface damages and axial shift of inner turn of strip at removing coil from coiler drum.

EFFECT: lowered quantity of tail end crop at finish working of strip in cutting aggregates, enhanced quality of ready sheet product, increased metal yield and efficiency of cutting aggregates.
