APPARATUS FOR CENTERING STRIP COILS IN UNCOILER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: rolled stock production, namely uncoilers mounted in aggregates for slitting strips and cross cutting of them. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for centering strip coils in uncoiler includes carriages mounted at both sides relative to axis of aggregate for cutting strip. Carriages are mounted with possibility of reciprocation motion normally relative to axis of aggregate in guides of stationary platforms. In order to clamp and to hold coil at centering it, cones with rotation drives mounted in carriages are used. Carriages are moved by means of hydraulic drive having hydraulic cylinders whose rods are connected with carriages. Rod and piston cavities of hydraulic cylinders through four-line distributors and regulators of working liquid flowrate are connected by means of pipelines with pump station. Hydraulic drive for moving carriages includes pump aggregate having pump, electric motor and safety valve. Pump aggregate is connected by means of pipelines through non-return valve and four-line distributor with pipelines connecting piston cavities of hydraulic cylinders with pump station. Between units for connecting pipelines passing from pump aggregate and from piston cavities of hydraulic cylinders and distributors for controlling hydraulic cylinders pressure relay with monitoring pressure gage and throttles are arranged and in parallel with them - non-return valves are mounted. There are non-return valves also between distributors for controlling hydraulic cylinders and regulators of working liquid flowrate. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of centering strip coils, improved reliability of their holding in uncoiler, enhanced accuracy of cutting strips, improved quality of products, lowered losses caused by rejected metal. 1 dwg
