SUBSTANCE: method involves forming sizes of one continuous strip of confectionery material on cooling drum; separating and applying strip onto base by providing contacting thereof in plane adjacent to highest raised surface/line of contacting of confectionery product, said strip being in high-plasticity state at time of applying thereof to base so that it may be deformed under gravity to partially coat sides of said base under said surface or line of contact; adjusting temperature of strip during period between applying thereof onto drum and applying thereof onto base to be coated. Apparatus has base moving conveyor, cooling drum disposed above conveyor, heated reservoir for confectionery mass, and device for forming strip sizes on drum.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in producing of confectionery with uniform thickness of coating.
