METHOD FOR FISH ATTRACTING INTO INLET HEAD OF FISH PASSING AND SPAWNING CHANNEL AND FISH PASSING AND SPAWNING CHANNEL Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E02B8/08

Abstract RU 2269621 C1

FIELD: hydraulic building, particularly fish passes to permit fish passage through support structures to fish hatchery and growth areas.

SUBSTANCE: fish passing and spawning channel comprises waterway made as a channel and with head part connected to upper pool and mouth part communicated with lower pool of hydrosystem, rough members made as parallelepipeds located on channel bottom along the full length thereof and extending at acute angle to longitudinal channel axis. The channel also has additional feeding unit with inlet part connected with upper pool and outlet part communicated with head part. Outlet part of additional feeding unit is made as a tray parallel to longitudinal axis of inlet head and outlet orifices thereof are located directly in additional feeding unit tray. Waterway and tray of additional feeding unit are spaced with partition wall extending for the full flow depth. Bottom of additional feeding unit tray is stepped and inclined towards lower pool side. Outlet orifices are arranged in beginning of each step. Inlet part of additional feeding unit is made as pressure pipeline provided with flow regulator. End part of additional feeding unit tray is freely communicated with waterway interior and initial part thereof is provided with jet guiding wall extending at an angle to through river flow. Inlet head has additional outlet orifice arranged from outer surface of jet guiding wall and arranged in surface horizon in parallel to guiding wall plane. The orifice is communicated with pressure pipeline. Initial waterway part located upstream from head part is provided with the second stage of additional feeding unit. Additional flow, which was earlier supplied in head part, is transferred directly to waterway section located upstream from inlet head to stimulate direct fish passage into waterway. After stabilization of fish-attractive flow borders and fish-attractive conditions, which stimulate fish passage in head pool additional water flow is supplied directly to waterway part located upstream from head part and at the same time additional flow supply in head part is stopped.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of fish passage in the channel.
