METHOD FOR FISH ATTRACTION INTO INLET HEAD OF FISH-PASSING SPAWNING CHANNEL AND FISH-PASSING SPAWNING CHANNEL FOR ABOVE METHOD REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E02B8/08

Abstract RU 2277615 C1

FIELD: hydraulic building, particularly fish passes adapted for permitting fish passage through support structures to fish hatchery and growth areas.

SUBSTANCE: fish-passing spawning channel comprises waterway made as a channel having outlet head connected with upper hydrosystem pool and inlet head connected to lower pool thereof. Fish-passing spawning channel has roughness members made as parallelepipeds installed at channel bottom along channel length so that the roughness members extend at acute angle to longitudinal channel axis. The fish-passing spawning channel is also provided with additional feeding unit having inlet part connected with upper pool and outlet part connected with inlet head. Outlet additional feeding block part is parallel to longitudinal inlet head axis. Additional outlet head of additional feeding unit is located in waterway center and is coaxial to longitudinal axis of inlet head. Waterway of additional feeding unit is made as pressure conduit connected with bottom of additional outlet head included in additional feeding unit. Outlet waterway part is provided with outlet orifices. Additional flow is supplied simultaneously in current direction and against the current of main flow in waterway so that water flow directed in main flow direction increases attractive flow velocity along longitudinal axis of inlet head, water flow part directed against main flow direction dissipates kinetic water flow energy due to mutual dissipation of main flow energy and counter flow energy.

EFFECT: possibility of effective additional water flow usage, prevention of fish misorientation, elimination of additional member usage for kinetic flow energy dissipation, improved hydraulic conditions for fish passage in fish-passing spawning channel.
