FIELD: mechanical engineering shipbuilding, repair of ships.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in process of manufacture and reconditioning of sliding bearings. Proposed method of application of antifriction coating onto steel thin-walled shells of sliding bearings includes plasma layer-by-layer application of antifriction material with simultaneous machining of each layer. Ultrasound is used for machining of each layer. Ultrasound action onto each layer is carried out till moment of crystallization of layer. Babbitt wire is used as antifriction material.
EFFECT: increased fatigue strength and improved antifriction properties of coating.
