FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing antifriction materials, which can be used in any industries for making antifriction parts, such as plain bearings, center-bearings etc. Method involves application of antifriction material based on polyetheretherketone (PEEK) on a steel substrate. Note here sublayer of copper-nickel alloy or bronze-nickel alloy is applied on prepared substrate by electric arc sputtering. Said sublayer consists of sequentially deposited layers of fine-grained, medium-grained and coarse-grained fractions. Further, on the heated surface with the said sublayer, a PEEK coating is applied by hot pressing with further cooling and machining of the obtained material.
EFFECT: invention provides articles from obtained material, for example, bearings, with loss of power reduced to 8 % and up to 30 % loss of power for friction due to 8-fold reduction of friction coefficient at increase of permissible load to 10 MPa with possibility of reduction of dimensions of bearing and elimination of risk of its electric erosion; besides, proposed method is more economical compared to known fusing methods due to elimination of need for hard-to-access molds for every kind of part.
