FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method cloud cover of Earth is probed and synoptic maps are constructed in form of cyclone whirls and isolines of anticyclones. Local minimums(maximums) of function of signal from cloud formations are calculated, taken as centers of cyclones and anticyclones, tracks of their movement are tracked by taking a series of shots. Specific points of intersection of tracks of cyclones and anticyclones are found, if tracks coincide above one region for more than once, point of intersection is taken to represent coordinates of source of expected earthquake. Probability of earthquake is calculated in current region from static function of distribution of time span between two serial earthquakes.
EFFECT: extended scale of effect, and increased speed of operation.
