Identifying in the satellite images of the vicinity of the intersection of seismomagnetic meridians with lithospheric faults, over which there is a cloudy seismic-induced structure. Determining the maximum linear dimension of the cloudy seismic-induced structure. Determining the earthquake magnitude. In the vicinity of the seismomagnetic meridians with lithospheric faults intersection, above which there is a cloudy seismic-induced structure, maps of the daily average distribution of the atmospheric chemical potential correction are plotted on a single scale with space images for no more than 18 days, measured from 5 days preceding the predicted date of the earthquake. Maps are additionally covered with a regular grid, having cells with sides of 2 × 2 degrees. Identifying cells containing local maxima of the atmospheric chemical potential correction. Summarizing the number of local maxima in each grid cell for each map. Maps of the distribution of the sums of local maxima are plotted. Constructing a region covering local maxima on the distribution maps of the sums of local maxima. Obtained region is identified with the most probable place of the earthquake occurrence.
EFFECT: technical result: increasing accuracy in determining the predicted earthquake location.
