FIELD: seismology, possible use for short term earthquake prediction.
SUBSTANCE: by visual observations from orbital station, extensive rows of linear cloud anomalies are detected and simultaneously filmed by a video-camera and hyper-spectrometer on spectral lines of hydrogen atom. Change of total of root-mean-square signal values in receipt channels on successive coils is tracked. Time constant of transition process is determined, impact time and impact magnitude are predicted. Earthquake source coordinates are identified as coordinates of linear cloud anomaly shots.
EFFECT: increased trustworthiness, responsiveness and scale of prediction.
