FIELD: stationary domestic filters for cleaning water by downward motion through filtering medium by gravity; domestic filters for final cleaning of cold tap water.
SUBSTANCE: proposed water filter includes filter element mounted in housing provided with branch pipe and detachable cover having water draining hole, diverter located in housing provided with attachment unit, upper hole with water flow divider, lower hole and branch pipe. Device for connecting the diverter branch pipe and filter element housing branch pipe is made in form of retainer of position of said branch pipes in longitudinal direction and lock limiting turn of said branch pipes relative to each other; branch pipe of filter element housing is engageable with holes of diverter housing for operation in water filtering mode or in mode of passing the flow through diverter past the filter element.
EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of filter; increased service life due to avoidance of weak member-three-way cock.
