FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; developing high-speed electrical machines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed high-speed electrical machine rotor has shaft and yoke that mounts permanent magnets. External cylindrical surface and end surfaces of permanent magnets are enclosed by retaining bands provided with side flanges press-fitted onto yoke. At high rotor speeds side parts of band reduce thrusts on its thin-wall part around cylindrical part of permanent magnets enabling optimal use of strength characteristics of band. Radial centering is used for retaining rotor balancing; to this end at least three radial pins are installed in the region of press-fitted joint between side flanges of band with yoke.
EFFECT: simplified design and enhanced reliability of rotor.
