FIELD: medicine, purulent-septic and reconstructive surgery.

SUBSTANCE: the developed osseous defect after sequestrectomy should be substituted with a blood-supplied tissue complex that includes and osseous fragment cut out of distal metaepiphyseal tibial department and a cutaneous-fascial insular fragment from foot's rear area upon a distal vascular pedicle, then it is necessary to carry out rotation for 180° followed by fixing an osseous fragment telescopically with needles to the stump of the main thumb's phalanx which should be covered with a cutaneous-fascial fragment to be then sutured up along the perimeter towards the edge of surface tissues defect. Then patient's foot should be fixed in position of 90° by applying Ilizarov's compression-distraction apparatus.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of reconstruction.
