UNIVERSAL WELDING GENERATOR Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B23K9/10

Abstract RU 2270740 C1

FIELD: electric machines, possibly used at welding procedures.

SUBSTANCE: stator of generator includes two three-phase windings mounted with possibility of star- or delta- connection and connected with load respectively through first and second three-phase power rectifier. One phase of second winding is connected with primary winding of current transformer. Both windings of stator re electrically disconnected one to other till switching unit. Two separate parallel power supply lines of load are mutually amplified; it allows amplify welding current intensity and realize high quality welding and cutting of high thickness metallic parts without lowering welding speed. Similar-pole outlets of power rectifiers are mutually connected through switching unit. "Minus" outlet of first power rectifier is provided with additional outlet connected by means of switching unit directly with load. "Plus" outlet of first rectifier is provided with additional outlet connected by means of switching unit with "minus" outlet of second power rectifier. Electric current transformer includes in addition second primary winding connected with similar phase of first winding of stator. Invention provides possibility for cutting all metals with thickness in range 0.5 - 20 mm.

EFFECT: increased outlet voltage of second rectifier providing possibility for plasma cutting practically of all metals of given thickness at high speed and high quality.
