FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in-tube control apparatus comprises a hermetically sealed section resting against an internal surface of a gas pipeline by spring-assisted bearing supports represented in the form of dynamotor wheels arranged outside and inside the hermetically sealed section, a fault location system, a data-processing system, a position determination system, a speed control system, a power supply system with a storage battery, a working medium pressure sensor. Each dynamotor wheel is designed for actuating braking, traction and passive operating mode and electrically connected with the speed control system. The fault location system can be constructed on the basis of using electromagnetic-acoustical transformers. The apparatus travels along a linear part of the gas pipeline at minimum transverse displacement of a longitudinal axis of the apparatus with respect to an axis of symmetry of the gas pipeline due to spring cartridge of a suspension bracket of the dynamotor wheels. The apparatus speed is corrected if its value deviates from the preset one by means of braking, traction and passive operating modes of the dynamotor wheels with an independent control of each dynamotor wheel separately.
EFFECT: use of the invention shall the apparatus travel in the gas pipeline at the preset uniform speed to provide high accuracy and operational efficiency.
