FIELD: data transfer networks; transmission and reception of audio and video signals.
SUBSTANCE: as distinct from centralized architecture of building video information service center, proposed system is built as distributed system that has one base video information service center and several local ones coupled with the latter through main-line communication channels. Base video information service center has in addition output to public telephone network, Internet, and mobile communication network. In addition, local information service centers and base one incorporate digital telephone exchanges, and users of local information service centers are additionally connected to these digital telephone exchanges. Technologies of local networks (Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet) are used for connecting users of local information service centers to servers.
EFFECT: enhanced servicing speed at lower throughput of main-line communication channels.
