FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely rolling out preliminarily heated blanks in the form of ring with fine-grain structure.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of heating blank in the form of ring and subjecting it to hot deforming by crimping it with use of roller type tool heated up to temperature that is less by 50 - 200°C than temperature of blank; rolling out blank at controlling thermal and mechanical conditions due to creating three-dimensional stress in blank material. It provides intensive disintegration of material structure. Inner surface of blank is crimped by means of roller whose width is no more than width of blank; outer and lateral surfaces of blank are squeezed by means of mandrel. Said roller and mandrel form gage narrowed according to crimping degree of blank.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of rolled out rings.
