FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves determining linear eye prosthesis deviation on four principal meridians. Eye prosthesis photos are taken when looking directly forward and with one of extreme deviations of the eye prosthesis to its left, to its right, upward or downward. Labels and lines are set on each of two images obtained in looking forward and in extreme deviation of the eye prosthesis drawn through the eye prosthesis pupil center, on the cornea or pupil boundary or in the pupil center. These two images are superimposed making them coincide on the palpebral fissure boundaries. Linear measurement of segment restricted with labels earlier marked on the photographic images is carried out on produced superimposed image. Eye prosthesis deviation angle is determined from formula α=53.3arctg(D1*L/D2*R, where α is the eye prosthesis deviation angle in each of extreme deviation in grades°; L is the segment length between two labels built when superimposing two eye prosthesis images when looking forward and in extreme deviation to the left, to the right, upward or downward in mm.; D1 is the intact patient eye cornea diameter in mm; D2 is the cornea diameter on photographic image in mm; R is eyeball radius in mm; 53.3 is the coefficient for transforming radians into grades.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced measurement errors; high objectiveness in evaluating eye mobility.
