FIELD: processes and equipment for laser friction welding at agitation, possibly different branches of machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mutually pressing part surfaces joined by welding for receiving joining zone; forming lateral surfaces in such a way that to provide their mutual contact after pressing them one to other in zone of butt profile root; providing gap between lateral surfaces in mean zone at side of welding tip and laser irradiation; moving welding tip at rotating it along joining zone and irradiating part material in front of welding tip with laser irradiation. Due to action of laser energy and friction energy between welding tip and part, material of parts along joining zone is plasticized and it solidifies behind welding tip. Welding tip is removed out of joining zone before complete solidification of parts material.
EFFECT: possibility for high quality welding of parts of large thickness.
