FIELD: working machine parts by grinding, possibly working ends of parts such as rings with small axial rigidity in machine tools with round magnetic table.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing on magnetic table reference ring with maximum diameter size and aligning it by indicator while rotating together with magnetic table around its axis; fixing said ring on magnetic table by means of stops, then removing it from table; before placing ring to be corrected in zone restricted by means of stops, magnetizing said stops by short-pulse turning on-off windings of magnetic table. Rings are ground by means of disc periphery during in-feed grinding process. First end of ring is ground without fixing it by means of magnetic field at realizing two cross feeds. At first grinding is performed at minimally possible feeds for completely removing curvature and stabilizing allowance. Then grinding is realized at optimal feeds by means of vertical effort that is less than admissible one while taking into account axial rigidity and size of ring, profile of ring cross section, number of curvature waves and limiting maximum bending.

EFFECT: prevention of magnetic field action upon process of occurring inner stresses in worked rings, improved accuracy and efficiency of grinding.
