FIELD: machine engineering, possibly grinding parts having two axial portions and arranged between them mean portion of larger diameter on which working surface in the form of lateral truncated cone surface with rectilinear or bent in cross section contour is formed, foe example parts used in infinitely variable transmission boxes of automobiles.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of using grinding spindle with first grinding wheel of cylindrical shape having respective rectilinear or bent peripheral contour and with second grinding wheel mounted coaxially to first one; at grinding process successively acting upon working surface of part by means of first grinding wheel and upon outer cylindrical surfaces by means of second grinding wheel; setting wheels in working position by rotating grinding spindle around two mutually normal rotation axes and by shifting it with the aid of carriage relative to part in direction normal to its axis; setting first wheel normally relative to working surface of machine part while superimposing length of its radial inclined zone by axial length of circle; realizing in-feed in direction of lengthwise axis of part; grinding by means of second wheel cylindrical outer surfaces of machine part.
EFFECT: improved efficiency and quality of grinding parts.
