FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of abrasive processing and can be used for grinding the ends of details of the type of rings with small axial rigidity. Ring is placed on the magnetic holding plate of the machine by the indicator during its rotation and grinding the first and second ring ends by the periphery of the circle by the method of penetration with the elimination of non-flatness. Grinding of the first ring end is carried out in the standard modes when the ring is fixed by means of the magnetic field of the magnetic holding plate with a preset value of the specific attractive force, which is within the specified values of the minimum and maximum specific attractive force. Grinding of the second ring end is carried out in the standard modes when the ring is fixed by means of the magnetic field of the magnetic holding plate with specific attractive force without the restriction of its maximum value. When grinding the first end, the maximum value of the specific attractive force is determined with allowance for ensuring the flatness of the end face of the ring from the reduced mathematical expression.
EFFECT: as a result, the time required to prepare the production is reduced and the accuracy of the final processed rings is increased.
