FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in grinding, for example large and super large rolling bearings. Ring incurving is eliminated by grinding the ring at machine tool with round magnetic table. Ring is centered using the indicator, locked on aforesaid table and ground by grinding wheel. First face of the ring is ground without locking by magnetic field, the second one being locked thereon. First face is ground with vertical feed of grinding wheel determined from the condition where [w] is tolerable incurving taken to equal tolerance for nonflatness of finished face in compliance with specifications, E is modulus of elongation of the ring material, Izc is the central axial moment of inertia of the ring crosswise section, Do is the diametre of the ring neutral outer circumference passing through the center of gravity of crosswise section, 4.4 is empirical coefficient of dependence of vertical cutting force on vertical feed, k is the factor that allows for the number incurving waves.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and quality of grinding.
