FIELD: combustion.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises grinding solid fuel, feeding it to the furnace, and forming at least tree zones of fuel combustion over the height of the furnace. For this purpose, the velocity of the air flow supplied through the fire grate is smoothly decreased over the height of the bottom section of the furnace. In the top section of the furnace a vortex flow of the remainder mass of the air supplied to the furnace is provided. For this purpose, the cross-section area of the bottom section of the furnace increases with height. The air is supplied to the top section of the furnace tangentially to the trajectories of the vortex flow in the direction of circulation of the torch. The speed of the fire grate is determined from the equation proposed.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
