SUBSTANCE: proposed method that can be used in code-division multiple access cellular communication systems to enhance precision of locating subscriber mobile station depends on measurements conducted by subscriber mobile station. In the process, all basic calculations related to coordinate evaluation are made in stationary location evaluation unit that should be incorporated in cellular communication network. Proposed location system is free from dependencies beyond cellular communication network and is completely self-contained in case inherent synchronization of base-station signals is provided. This distinguished proposed system from satellite navigation systems in which reliability of vehicle location directly depends on condition of satellites and quality of navigation signal transmitted by them.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of location due to using data on movement path of vehicle whose route is known in advance.
