FIELD: radiolocation, location of position of mobile station in cellular communication systems. SUBSTANCE: salient feature of proposed method consists in determination of range of possible values of error, in evaluation of propagation time of location signal and of density function of distribution of probability of these values of error, in conversion of correlation metric by its integration in region of possible values of error with weight equal to density of distribution of probabilities of values of error and formation of converted correlation metric, in determination of weight coefficient of converted correlation metric. Point of most probable location for which weighed sum of values of converted correlation metrics corresponding to propagation times of signal between given point and corresponding base station has maximum is assumed as evaluation of position of mobile station. Modeling results demonstrate that proposed method has advantage of approximately 4 dB in efficiency.
