FIELD: hydraulic structures, particularly fish passes adapted to permit fish passage through support structures to fish hatchery and growth areas.
SUBSTANCE: fish pass comprises waterway made as chute with head part connected to upper pool of hydrosystem and mouth part connected to lower pool thereof, vertical roughness members adjoining waterway sides and extending towards longitudinal waterway axis. Vertical roughness members located near left and right waterway sides are mutually offset along waterway length to create zigzag channel defined by side surfaces thereof. Vertical roughness members are formed as many-sided pyramids. Pyramid sides interact with water flow so that pyramid side surface having base rig of minimal dimensions face water flow.
EFFECT: increased ability of excessive kinetic energy reduction and improved hydraulic conditions, which affords an opportunity for fish to relax and restore strength.
