FIELD: oil and gas production and corrosion protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention is dealing with water-soluble microbiological and hydrogen sulfide corrosion inhibitors used in drilling fluids and other process fluids to protect their organic components and equipment operated under microbiological infection and hydrogen sulfide corrosion. Composition of invention contains 12-27% formaldehyde, 27-68% ethanolamine mixture, 0.1-9% urea, and water (the balance), said ethanolamine mixture being bottom residues from monoethanolamine regeneration or a 1:1 mixture of the same with industrial-grade triethanolamine.
EFFECT: reduced toxicity and prolonged bactericide efficiency period.
