FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely apparatuses for producing magnesium by electrolysis of melt raw material.
SUBSTANCE: device provides increased by 5 - 10% electric current yield and it includes carbonaceous anode block of magnesium cell; electric current supply bus; bundle of compensating rods rigidly mounted in body carbon block by means of electric contact plugs and fan-like welded to outer surface of electric current supply bus. Device includes in addition detachable centering holder in the form of rings with supports for placing compensating rods. On upper end of carbonaceous anode block there are openings shifted one relative to other; electric contact plugs and compensating rods are arranged in said openings. Compensating rods are welded in pairs to electric current supply bus at both sides; there is gap between electric current supply bus and carbonaceous anode block. In order to mount such device, compensating rods are placed in body of carbonaceous anode block by means of electric contact plugs of melt electrically conducting material and they are welded to electric current supply bus. Preliminarily in upper portion of carbonaceous anode block openings are formed; said openings are dried by compressed air. Upper part of block is heated up till temperature 900-1000°C and melt electrically conducting material is poured to each opening. Then bundle of compensating rods tied by means of centering holder is arranged in it and block is cooled for forming electric contact plug in it. Centering holder is removed and compensating rods are welded at both sides to electric current supply bus.
EFFECT: increased strength of mounting, lowered overheating of beam, improved electric current yield.
