Abstract RU 2290459 C1

FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy; devices supplying current to magnesium producing electrolyzers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed electrocontact unit of magnesium producing electrolyzer has anode unit made from carbon-containing material, current supply bus, electric conductor in form of bundle of bars rigidly mounted in electrocontact plugs on one side and rigidly connected by welding to current supply bus on other side. Novelty of invention consists in form of current supply bus made as plate of varying section in height; area of minimum cross section of plate ranges from 0.7 to 1.1 of area of total cross section of bars; area of cross section current supply bus is equal to total section of conductor bars. Bars are tightly pressed to one another on one side and are fastened by welding forming the bundle which is mounted in electrocontact plug at spaced relation on one side; on other side each bar is welded to current supply bus in fan-shaped pattern at angle of 18-20°. Besides that, plate is provided with stepped bevel on one side. Proposed unit ensures reduction of anode unit-current supply bus contact resistance, thus reducing losses of electric power and enhancing stability of anode unit due to smooth load at rational position of electric conductor.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; reduced power losses; ease in servicing; reduced consumption of labor.
