FIELD: lubricating.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises cooling oil by supplying air flow produced by fans provided with the AC frequency-controlled electric drive to the apparatus for air cooling. The temperature of the cooled oil is controlled by the control of the flow rate of the cooling air and area of the heat exchange surface. The temperature of oil to be cooled is measured and the value measured is sent to the frequency converter. When the temperature value deviates from the specified one, the number of heat-exchanging sections and fans change by means of control mechanisms of control valving members of the heat-exchanging sections and fan gates.

EFFECT: enhanced precision of oil temperature control.
