FIELD: refrigeration engineering, in particular, method of cooling (as well as recuperative coolers and headers of such coolers) in such systems, in which air saves as coolant, in particular, methods of oil cooling. SUBSTANCE: the method of oil cooling consists in operation of cooler start at low ambient temperatures, which is accomplished by the supply of heat to the external surface of the cooler section and subsequent feed of heated oil to the heat-exchange surface of the cooler sections. Oil preliminarily circulates in a closed circuit having an external heat source. Absorption of heat by the external surface of the sections is accomplished by conductive heating; preliminary oil circulation is conducted by successive oil supply through all distribution and condensate headers of sections round the heat exchange surface; on completion of preliminary circulation of oil the latter is fed to the heat exchange surface directly from the distribution and condensate headers of the cooler sections. The recuperative cooler has at least one section consisting of the heat exchange surface and the distribution and condensate headers for one of the media adjoining it on the opposite side. Each header has working connections for inlet and outlet of medium, in addition, it has a circulation connection, and the whole cooler is furnished at least with one by-pass line with a final-control stop element, whose one end is connected to the circulation connection of the distribution header of one of the sections, and the other end-to the circulation connection of the condensate header also of one of the sections (in a single-section cooler - to the some section). The header has a body furnished with a working connection (condensate header-connection for outlet of medium; distribution header - for inlet of medium) and a heater. In addition, the header has a circulation connection connected to the by-pass line; the heater is made as a current-conducting element having the shape of the header and installed on its external surface. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 21 cl, 9 dwg
