FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna equipment and may be used for optimum control of complex weighting devices in channels of giant-pulse antenna arrays (GPAA). The method of energy optimisation of giant-pulse antenna arrays with joint generation of beams is based on weighting signals received by each radiator, with the help of complex weight coefficients. Signals from outlets of complex weighting devices are divided into two channels, further signals from identical outlets of dividers are summed up with an appropriate progressively rising and falling phase shift providing for deviation of each beam by an angle ±∆Θ. Summary and difference directivity patterns are formed from generated beams. Complex weight coefficients of two groups of arbitrarily selected elements from a composition of the antenna array with K and L elements in each accordingly are accepted as equal to the product of initial weight coefficients, by a common complex coefficient IK and IL accordingly for each group of elements, which are determined on the basis of the solution to the optimisation task, and the range of Hermitian forms is reduced to the order of P+2.
EFFECT: higher energy efficiency of a giant-pulse antenna array under conditions of noise effect, higher efficiency of operation of a giant-pulse antenna array operation.
