FIELD: vacuum engineering; gas laser manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes assembly of envelope with capillary tube and electrode units, sealing of windows while moving source along weld, evacuation, and filling. Sealing windows involves additional heat treatment of weld at heat source motion speed of 10 - 40 mm/min. Additional heat treatment is made in diametrically opposite sectors of each window at opening angle of 10 - 30 deg. Sectors are symmetrical to plane passing through normals to window plane and to active element axis. Motion speed on other sections of weld is increased to 50 - 200 mm/min.
EFFECT: enhanced yield at high radiation power.
