FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a laser-arc hybrid welding system and a welding method. Laser-arc hybrid welding system is made with possibility of welding a gap between the first workpiece and the second workpiece. Said system comprises arc welding torch and laser welding torch, shooting chamber and controller. Laser welding torch can move relative to the gap and emit a laser beam acting on the gap. Laser beam oscillates in the gap along the direction of the gap width. Arc welding torch is made with possibility of movement relative to gap and with possibility of arc emission, which follows laser beam and oscillates in said gap. Shooting camera is made with possibility of movement synchronously with laser welding torch and with the possibility of controlling the gap value in the width direction. Controller is configured to adjust the oscillation amplitude and oscillation frequency of the laser beam in accordance with the gap value.
EFFECT: as a result, possibility of welding large gaps in joints is provided, requirements to accuracy of welding samples assembly are reduced and quality of product welding is improved.
