FIELD: technology for controlling consumption of electric energy in radio receiver.

SUBSTANCE: method includes partially disabling the receiver during data receipt and, also, packets of transporting stream are generated with given periodicity, after that radio receiver is informed about this periodicity of packets and is informed about alternation of this periodicity, but, mostly only once, in variant of invention, radio-receiver detects periodicity automatically using an intellectual algorithm. Variant of invention is based on disabling radio-frequency circuits connected to increasing transformers, and during that - maintaining power in circuit of phased frequency automatic-adjustment or portion of this circuit, phase frequency automatic-adjustment is disabled, if data are absent for a long time. In a variant of invention radio-receiver is receiver of digital television broadcasting.

EFFECT: decreased consumption of electric energy while maintaining stable receipt and short time needed for setting synchronization of device during receipt of data flow.
