FIELD: communications engineering.
SUBSTANCE: protocol for controlling access to transmission environment provides conflict-less transmission of packets to communication channel, while assignment of time spans to network nodes to provide for conflict-less transmission is performed on basis of information about adjacent nodes belonging to local area received by them, and about declared time spans, for duration of which adjacent nodes positioned in local area will try to perform transmission again. In procedure for setting order, data concerning duration of presence in network together with unique identifiers for each node can be utilized. Possible values of transmission time are determined for each node with utilization of list with time values for following transmissions, declared by other nodes. Node excludes declared values of transmission time from list of potentially possible transmission time values and calculates its own possible values of transmission time with utilization of function, providing for different (pseudo-random) distribution of output data for different sets of input data. This function may be a hash-function, encryption function or recoding table function. Calculation of possible values of transmission time is performed with utilization of identifiers of nodes, for which no data were received about declared transmission time.
EFFECT: decreased competition between network nodes and decreased communication channel access delay for given node.
