SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. The method and device according to this invention relate to planning and encoding in communication systems which use automatic repeat request (ARQ) and/or multi-switched planning and transmission. According to the proposed method, receiving nodes selectively store received information, as well as listened information as prior information, and the information is transmitted back relative the respective stored prior information to the sending node. The sending node creates composite data packets through combined encoding and planning several data packets. The said composite data packets are transmitted to receiving nodes. After receiving a composite data packet, the receiving nodes use their stored prior information when extracting data for themselves from the composite data packets.
