FIELD: rocketry; production of the solid rocket propellant (SRP) charges.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of rocketry, in particular, to the production of the solid rocket propellant intercalated charges armored by the thermoplastic armoring compounds by pressure die casting. The method of armoring of the rocket solid propellant charges by the thermoplastic armoring compound provides for placing of the solid propellant charge grain in the press mould and injection of the armoring compound heated up to the fluid state into a clearance between the mould and the rocket solid propellant charge grain through the multi-gate injector. Prior to the beginning of the armoring of the solid rocket propellant (SRP) charge grains the SRP armoring thermoplastic compound is applied on the mockups of the solid rocket propellant charge grains. The mockups are manufactured out of the inertial compound and correspond to the geometrical characteristics and the modulus of elasticity in compression of the rocket solid propellant charge grains to be subjected to the armoring. For several separate mockups in series conduct test selection of the probe components making 5-80 % of the calculated dosing of the armoring mass injection. On the basis of the partially covered with the armoring compound mockups visually estimate the character of the spreading and joining of the armoring mass on the surface of the mockups from the various gates of the multi-gate injector. Then make correction of the quantity, location and the sizes of the gates of the multi-gate injector to ensure the uniform filling of the "the press mold - the solid rocket propellant charge grain" and to exclude trapping the air at joining of the armoring mass melt flows. The conduct the full-scaled calculated injection of the melt armoring mass into the mockup using the corrected injector and at obtaining in the mockup of the satisfactory joining of the melt armoring mass flows exercise the direct armoring of the solid rocket propellant charges. The technical result of realization of the method is expansion of the technological capabilities of the method of the solid rocket propellant charges armoring by the thermoplastic armoring compounds by the method of the injection molding with provision of the high quality of the armoring and safety of the production process.
EFFECT: the invention ensures expansion of the technological capabilities of the method of the solid rocket propellant charges armoring by the thermoplastic armoring compounds by the injection molding, the high quality of the armoring, safety of the production process.
