FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of loading rocket engine with solid-proppelant multigrain charge includes laying of shaped grains into rocket engine coordinated in cross section of combustion chamber. Prior to loading, thin-walled cup with flangings in contact with end face of combustion chamber is installed in combustion chamber is installed in combustion chamber. Said cup is provided with perforated holes in bottom coordinated in cross section according to layout of grains. Profile of holes corresponds to through section of grains. Grains are laid into combustion chamber through holes in cup bottom after which cup is taken out of combustion chamber. When loading elongated charges, cup with double bottom with perforations similar to first bottom of cup is used.
EFFECT: improved manufacturability, safety, capacity and quality of assembling.
